SymmetryPR ranks among the best globally with Gold Quill of Excellence Award win

May 12, 2021 – Saskatoon, SK – A public relations start-up launches a business during a global pandemic… and within its first nine months is recognized among the best in business communications on an international scale. SymmetryPR has just been announced as the winner of an International Association for Business Communicators (IABC) 2021 Gold Quill Award of Excellence in the category of Marketing and Brand Communication. Symmetry was the only winner listed from Saskatchewan IABC Chapters.

Co-founder and partner Melody Lynch speaks to what this award means for Symmetry.

“The Gold Quill Awards recognize some of the most talented and innovative work in our field, and we’re thrilled to represent Saskatchewan on the global stage. To achieve this in our first year as a new business demonstrates our drive and commitment to striving for the highest standards in our industry. We’re humbled to be named alongside other major players, like PR firm Edelman Canada, and many prominent brands,” she says.

Ben Borne, Symmetry’s other founder and partner, notes the award was for the company’s very first campaign, “Your Neighbourhood, Your Neighbour,” that supported Nick Sackville’s bid for Ward 3 city councillor in the 2020 civic election race.

“Taking our first steps as a company with a political campaign was an intimidating move. However, we were encouraged by Nick’s confidence in our ability to get out his message. We want to thank him for inviting us to be a part of the campaign, and providing us a unique opportunity to learn and grow as communicators,” he says.

This year, despite the pandemic, 482 hopefuls from 22 countries entered the Gold Quill Awards. Gold Quill entries are evaluated by distinguished communicators according to the 7-Point Global Scale of Excellence, the integrity for which IABC has become known.

SymmetryPR will be recognized among global colleagues and fellow winners at the virtual IABC World Conference on June 29, 2021. Click here to view the full list of 2021 Gold Quill Award winners.
